Sri Lanka Army Elle players comfortably won the Defence Services Elle Tournament 2016 after beating Sri Lanka Navy Elle Team by an inning and 11 runs during the final match, held at Sri Lanka Artillery ground Panagoda on Wednesday (16).
Air Vice Marshal A.H Wijesiri, Director of Engineering, Air Force who distributed the awards among the winner was warmly welcomed by Colonel Lal Wijetunge, Vice President of Army Elle Committee on arrival at the ground.
Sri Lanka Navy scored 2 runs at the first inning and 3 runs at the second inning as reply to army scored 16 runs at the first inning.
Senior officers and other ranks from the Army and Navy together with a large gathering of fans watched the finals.
