A gathering of Army drivers serving the Security Forces Headquarters – Central (SFHQ - C) were enlightened on a set of ‘Road Rules and Regulations’ during a special awareness programme, held on Saturday (4) at the Torch Cinema Theatre of the Sri Lanka Military Academy, Diyatalawa.
Director of the Training Institute of Road and Automobiles, Deputy Inspector General of Police, G Perinpanayagam (retd) conducted the awareness programme at the request of Major General Sumedha Perera, Commander, SFHQ - C.
The objective of the programme was to minimize road accidents caused by Army vehicles in the area and remind all Army drivers of the importance of maintaining strict discipline and road rules and regulations with special care to both other drivers and pedestrians.
