Army-Designed New Park at Tamil School Opened for Students

The new children’s park at Arrumaththukulam Tamil Maha Vidyalaya premises in Mullaittivu, designed and prepared by the troops of the 591 Brigade under the 59 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) was recently vested with the children during a ceremony.

Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasooriya, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 59 Division as the Chief Guest for the occasion opened the Army-designed children's park.

This children's park, one more civil-oriented project of the SFHQ - MLT was sponsored by the ‘Shanthi’ Foundation in close coordination with Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, SF- MLT.

During the same opening ceremony, students of the school were gifted with a stock of school accessories, offered by the troops of the 591 Brigade Headquarters. Parents and teachers highly appreciated the efforts made by the Army to build the park.

Brigade Commander, 591 Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Rankers, teachers, parents, government officials and a large gathering of civilians also participated in the opening event.
