Intending to encourage a bright student at Welambadaba College in Bambaradeniya area for his higher studies, 111 Brigade troops of the 11 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Central coordinated the award of a monthly scholarship, worth Rs 5000/= and a computer to the value of Rs 1 lakh on Monday (27).
Mrs M. Korathota, a donor from Kaduwela sponsored both educastional aids to the student, Sathsara Prasad Bandara who excels in studies in the College but undergoes economic hardships to continue his studies.
Mrs. Korathota with her sister and Lt Col H.M.A.P Kumara, Civil Affairs Officer at 111 Brigade attended the formal handover of those incentives.
