Kelaniya Rotary Club, considering hardships of school students in four schools under Thirukkovil Educational Zone of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) with the coordination of Komari-based 632 Brigade of Task Force 3, gave away gift parcels to selected 806 students during a simple ceremony on Thursday (12).
Each parcel, worth about Rs 5,000/= contained school accessories, uniform cloths, dry rations, etc and was distributed among students studying at Panama Maha Vidyalaya, Lahugala Maha Vidyalaya, Hulannuge Vidyalaya and Old Farm Vidyalaya in Panama area.
The simple ceremony organized by the 632 Brigade at Panama Maha Vidyalaya saw Mrs Pani Aadinthi, Chairperson, Kelaniya Rotary Club and Rotary members distribute those gift parcels. 632 Brigade Commander also participated in the ceremony with several senior officers.
