In order to inspect and review the rehearsals of the forthcoming ‘Ranaviru Commemorative Parade’ at Matara, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army together with a few senior officers including Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General made a trip down to the venue Friday (15) afternoon.
The Army Chief observed the rehearsals and the parade closely and received a comprehensive account of each segment with much focus on the Army contribution since the Army has the largest portion in the parade.
He also gave instructions where necessary in order to raise the qualitative standards of the parade.
