The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage along with the Chief of Defence Staff, Navy and Air Force Commanders and Senior Officers on Sunday (29 Jan) inspected the rehearsals of the military participation in the forthcoming 75th Independence Day ceremony, to be held on Saturday (4).
Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage after watching the rehearsals gave further instructions to those in charge of the parade to make some qualitative improvements and other necessary changes in the Army sections.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage together with senior officers inquired into the accommodation facilities for Army personnel participating in the parade and their other requirements.
