Army & Civil Women Volleyball Players Compete in Finals

Troops of the 51 Infantry Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-JFN) in order to further promote civil-military cooperation and improve the sports skills of the younger generation in the Jaffna peninsula, organized a volleyball match between the Yogapuram Girls’ volleyball team and 7 Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps volleyball team on Tuesday (17 October) at the 51 Infantry Division’s CIMIC park playground in Jaffna.

The finals, witnessed by a large gathering of volleyball fans in the area along with women soldiers of the 7 SLAWC, Officers and Other Ranks. After a close tussle, the Yogapuram Girls’ Volleyball team won the match and received the trophy and incentives.

General Officer Commanding - 51 Infantry Division, Major General S.W.B Welagedera RSP VSV USP ndc, as the Chief Guest attended the occasion and awarded prizes and incentives to the winners and competitors.
