Army-organized packs of dry rations were donated among the inmates at Bogahapitiya Shantha Elders’ Home, Kithusevana Marians' Elders' Home in Mount Lavinia, Suwa Sevana Elders’ Home in Gampaha, Saint Thomas' Church in Kotte and Elders' Home in Mahabage on Thursday (22) as a project that corresponded to the recent commemoration of the Army Anniversary.
Major General Jayashantha Gamage, Military Secretary and Chairman of the Army Christian Fellowship on the instructions of the Commander of the Army organized this charity event.
The sponsorship for this event was provided by members of the Army Christian Fellowship. The organizers after visiting those homes for the elders interacted with them and shared views with them during their stay at respective places.
