Army Chief Shares His Experience with Haiti Based Sri Lankan Soldiers

Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya's, Commander of the Army currently visiting Haiti in order to inspect operational assignments of the Sri Lankan Peacekeepers, as the last leg of his stay in Haiti on Thursday (22) visited Headquarters of the Support Company serving Killick Sector, in close proximity to Martissant, Haiti's cauldron of violence.

The visiting Commander recalling his wealth of battlefield experience spoke to SRIBAT troops serving there and outlined how various approaches could be utilized in the quell of gang violence in Martissant area when he met a cross section of SRIBAT troops serving the Killick sector Headquarters.

Lieutenant General Jayasuriya made a brief tour around the complex and gave necessary instructions to the SRIBAT troops involved in Peacekeeping operations in those vulnerable areas.
