Army Chief Inaugurates Officers' Accommodation Complex at SLNG

The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Officers' accommodation complex took place at the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Regimental Headquarters premises in Heraliyawala, Kurunegala, on 10 April 2024.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of SLNG, along with Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Upon arrival at the camp premises, Brigadier H.A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc, Centre Commandant, SLNG extended a warm welcome to the chief guest. The ceremony commenced with the Army Chief unveiling the ceremonial plaque, followed by an inspection of the newly constructed Officers' accommodation building, named 'Green View Reserve'. This modern facility comprises 15 rooms equipped with all necessary amenities, addressing the critical need for accommodation for Officers of the Regiment. He also commended the dedication and hard work of all SLNG troops, acknowledging their efficient completion of the project within the allocated budget.

In addition to inaugurating the Officers' accommodation facility, the Commander of the Army also inspected the ongoing construction process of the 2nd floor of the 'Mountain View' building.
