Army Chief Held Executive Committee Meeting on the 13th Defence Services Games Preparation

An Executive Committee Meeting, presided over by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army and the President of the Defence Services Sports Board (DSSB) was held on 16 July 2024 to prepare for the 13th Defence Services Games.

The inauguration ceremony of 13th Defence Services Games is scheduled on 12 September 2024 and the sports events will be carried out throughout the year. This year, the Sri Lanka Army has the honour of hosting the event.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the preliminary arrangements for the upcoming event and to prepare the Tri-forces athletes for the World Military Games.

The Vice Presidents of DSSB, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera RSP USP ndu psc, Commander of the Navy, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa RSP VSV USP rcds psc, Commander of the Air Force, DGGS of the Sri Lanka Army, Director Army Sports and Secretary of DSSB, Director Sports Navy, Secretary of Sport Council Air Force and Senior Officers of the Tri-forces participated in the meeting.
