Army Chief Bestows an Army-built House to a Family in Trincomalee

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, handed over a newly constructed house to the family of Mr. G.K.K Ananda Jayarathne, in China Bay, Trincomalee on 07 June 2024.

The new house was constructed by the troops of 2 (V) GR under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) GR and with the financial assistance provided by 88 Old Students Batch of Royal College, Colombo.

Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc the Commander of Security Forces - East, Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division, Commanders of respective Brigades, government officials and civilians of the area participated in the event.
