Army Chief Awards Cash Incentives to the Winners of Art Competition - 2024

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, presented cash incentives and certificates to the winners of the Sri Lanka Army Art Competition - 2024 on 27 December 2024 at the Commander’s Office in Army Headquarters.

This event, conducted by the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations as part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Army, aimed to highlight the exceptional artistic talents of Army personnel and uplift their creativity.

The winners of the competition were:

• Lieutenant S.M.J.A.B Samarakoon - 1st place

• Warrant Officer II R.M.S Ruwan Kumara - 2nd place

• Warrant Officer II A.D Abeygunarathne - 3rd place

Following the presentations, the Army Chief expressed his appreciation to the winners for their outstanding contributions and instructed that the winning portraits be displayed on the ground floor of Army Headquarters.
