Army Chief Attends Musical Event at ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ Celebrating 75 Years of the Sri Lanka Army

‍Fulfilling the noble obligation of honouring War Heroes who sustained injuries in the battlefield, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army and Mrs. Janaki Liyanage the President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) visited ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ (MSM) on 08 October 2024 in line with the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

Upon the arrival, the Commander of the Army and the President of ASVU were warmly welcomed by residential War Heroes of the MSM.

During the programme, 75 residential War Heroes enjoyed live musical performances played by the popular music stars together with the Army Beat Band, a comedy session along with dancing sessions including a wheel chair dancing item. This provided a festive atmosphere to the MSM with joy and energy.

The event concluded with dinner attended by the Commander of the Army and other dignitaries together with the injured War Heroes.

The Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Senior Officers and their spouses, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
