Army Carries Away Overall Championship in Wrestling
Sri Lanka Army wrestlers during the National Wrestling Tournament (novices), held at Panagoda Army Physical Training School for three days (Dec 21, 22 & 23) after beating other wrestling associations, won the overall championship scoring 28 points.
Army wrestlers under kg 43, kg 50, kg 60 and kg 84 categories secured the first places out of all 8 wrestling events. The Army won the second place in 5 events and the third slot in 3 events during the finals.
