WANNI : ARMY TROOPS after confrontations that lasted for days at last took full control of NANDANKANDAL town, about 16 km north east of PERIYAMADU, MANNAR by Friday (11) afternoon.
This town was another important tactical and administrative location of the LTTE.
In the meantime, VAVUNIYA troops captured NAVVI, another small town about 15 km northwest OMANTHEI, Friday (11) afternoon.
