The South Korean Army’s Lieutenant Colonel Han, Jong - hun, Army Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India during a formal courtesy visit to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) complex on Tuesday (4) at Sri Jayawardenepura, Colombo took time off to extend courtesies to Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army.
The cordial interactive meet provided space for both Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage and the visiting Army Attaché of India-based Embassy of the Republic of Korea to exchange views on general matters of concern to both organizations. They also recalled bonds of goodwill, cooperation and understanding that prevail between both countries and members of the armed forces.
Towards the culmination of the cordial meeting, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage symbolized the goodwill of the Sri Lanka Army by awarding a memento to Lieutenant Colonel Han, Jong - hun. The gesture was reciprocated.
