The Photo Exhibition on Army Athletics History, now on at Colombo Sugathadasa National Stadium to coincide with the three-day long 50th Inter Regiment Athletics Meet - 2013, inaugurated on Tuesday (26) is a masterpiece of the life-span that speaks of legendary sports figures the Army has produced to-date.
Sri Lanka Army, to coincide with its ongoing 50th Inter Regiment Athletics Meet - 2013 that got underway at Sugathadasa Stadium on Tuesday (26), has organized this grand Exhibition of Photos and Paraphernalia, related to 50 years history of Army athletics contributions.
The Exhibition, open to the public from 8.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m. free of charge, consists of yesteryear photos of Olympic, Commonwealth Games, South Asian Games, etc and various related events that were represented by Army athletes in the past 50 years.
The Photo Exhibition ends on Thursday (28) with the closing ceremony of the Athletics Meet - 2013 which has already made several new national records.
