Army athletes, participating in the recently concluded 20th Asian Athletic Championship Tournament in Pune, India secured two Silver medals in Javelin Throw event.
Warrant Officer I, B.L Nadeeka Lakmalee and Lance Corporal G.A.S.S Maduranga of the Army with distance of 60.16 m and 79.62 m respectively marked this victory. Both are considered two new Sri Lankan records.
Sri Lanka Army Athletic Committee congratulated both of them upon their return home.
