Army athletes competing in the 58th Army Athletics Championship now underway at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium at Diyagama made 3 impressive national records in Pole Vault, Walking (10000m) (Men and Women categories) during the second day of the Championship on Thursday (30).
Achievers of those National records are as follows:
Pole Vault (Men’s) - Lance Corporal H.S.E Janith of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (5.16m)
10000m Walking (Men’s) - Lance Corporal P.H.S.N Fernando of Gajaba Regiment (Timing 45.12.22)
10000m Walking (Women’s) - Lance Corporal U.V.K Madirika of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (Timing 49.25.97)
