The Directorate of Internal Audit at the Army Headquarters arranged a two-day training workshop for Accounting Officers and audit clerks on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 23 and 24) with the objective of receiving the expertise from the Ministry of Finance officials.
Accordingly, Mrs S.A Chandra Kulathilaka, Director General, Department of Management Audit of the Ministry of Finance and a team of experts conducted the two-day workshop, attended by 99 Officers and 217 Other Ranks.
The workshop was initiated on a concept of Major General W.B.S.M Abeysekera RSP USP, Director General Financial Management (DGFM) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock.
Its conduct was supervised by Colonel D Udayakumara, Director, Directorate of Internal Audit.
Towards the end of the workshop, DGFM presented a special token of appreciation to Mrs S.A Chandra Kulathilaka commending her contribution to the Army. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the two-day training session.
