ARFRO Members Arrive at Army HQ on Familiarization Visit

The Executive Committee Members of the Association of Retired Flag Rank Officers (ARFRO) on Thursday (27) arrived at the Army HQ on a familiarization visit.

Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General, together with Brigadier KAU Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, Director, Personnel Administration welcomed the ARFRO members in front of the Army Headquarters.

Afterwards, all retired Flag Rank Officers had the privilege of posing for a group photograph with the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage who also shared a couple of views with them while thanking them for the service they are still continuing to render and wished them good luck for their future endavrous.

Chief of Staff, Chief Field Engineer, Director General Financial Management and Director General Infantry also joined with the visiting ARFRO members.

Then, all the ARFRO were invited to witness a presentation on the recently-erected Defence Headquarters complex and its functional aspects.

Later on, all the visiting ARFRO executive committee members joined a familiarization visit inside the Army HQ complex together with Brigadier KAU Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, Director Personal Administration and Brigadier P Wimalasiri RWP RSP, Director, Directorate of Management and Maintenance.

The tri service delegation was composed of Major General (Retd) LCR Goonewardene RSP VSV USP ndc IG, Rear Admiral (Retd) HS Rathnakeerthi VSV USP ndc psc, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) ODNL Perera RWP VSV USP, Rear Admiral (Retd) DS Molligoda VSV USP psc, Rear Admiral (Retd) AV Abeyasena, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) JP Wanigatunge VSV USP psc, Major General (Retd) (Dr) KDP Perera USP, Major General (Retd) MDS Chandrapala RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Major General (Retd) WGMUR Perera USP, Rear Admiral (Retd) WMPL Weerasinghe VSV USP psc, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) K Yahampath VSV USP psc, Major General (Retd) RV Udawatta psc ato, Rear admiral (Retd) AR Amarasinghe RSP VSV USP psc, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) K St E Perera USP, Rear Admiral (Retd) Surgen NELW Jayasekara VSV USP and Brigadier (Retd) PC Botheju.

At the end of the familiarization visit, a meeting session of the ARFRO got underway at the Adjutant General's Branch conference hall.
