Arasapurakulam BTS-groomed 478 New Recruits Leave for Their Regiments

478 new recruits groomed by the Arasapurakulam Battalion Training School (BTS), situated in the 66 Division area in Pooneryn passed out on Saturday (04) as one more phase of the ongoing recruitment drive in the Army that goes in parallel with the Army Chief's "Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025".

Adhering to maximum COVID - 19 health guidelines, the Course commenced on 19 April 2021 under the close supervision of Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division.

Lieutenant Colonel M.P.J Muthunayake, Chief Instructor at the BTS graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest in the Passing out Parade along with several other instructors.

The Course selected Recruit W.G.S Wijesooriya – Sri Lanka Corp Military Police (Best Recruit), Recruit J.N.S.J.N.P Waskaduwa - Gemunu Watch (Best Physically fit) and Recruit H.R.S Dasanayeka - Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) – (Best Shooter).

The newly-passed our recruits were posted to their respective Regiments, inclusive of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Sri Lanka Artillery, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Gemunu Watch, Gajaba Regiment, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Mechanical Infantry Regiment, Military Intelligence Corps, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Sri Lanka Rifle Corps.
