A GROUP OF PATRIOTIC people in Horana area headed by Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake, son of Hon Prime Minister, donated a large stock of necessary items to Victory Army hospital in Anuradhapura last week.
Essential items for daily personal to be distributed among hospital inmates, biscuits and milk powder were some of the items delivered to the hospital. The donation was handed over by Mr. Wickramanayake to Major General A.S.M. Zaheer, Commander Forward Maintenance Area – North central on behalf of Commander Security Forces – Wanni Major General Jagath Jayasuriya.
Later, Mr. Wickramanayake along with some guests visited soldiers receiving treatment after they were injured in the battlefield. The visiting team of donors spoke to them and wished them well.
Commanding Officer of the Victory hospital, Commanding Officer 3rd Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and members of hospital staff were present on the occasion.
