The Anuradhapura District coordinating committee for the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic assembled at the North Central Provincial Council office in Anuradhapura on 12 May 2021, presided by Governor of North Central Province Mr. Maheepala Herath.
District Secretary for Anuradhapura, Mr R.M. Wanninayaka, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division, Brigadier W.R.M.M Rathnayake, Senior Deputy Inspector General Anuradhapura, Mr W Kithsiri Jayalath and stakeholders also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, stakeholders shared their views on the status quo and measures that should be taken in Anuradhapura district to curb the sudden spread of the pandemic while implementing a proper mechanism in partnership with Security Forces, government workers and health authorities.
