The annual festival at the Kanakambikal Ambal Hindu Kovil in Kilinochchi had its annual festival on Thursday (21) at the Kovil premises.
The festival was held for more than a week where thousands of Hindu devotees flocked and received divine blessings.
Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces-Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) participated in the festival by accepting the invitation given by the Chief Priest (pusari) at the Kovil. Troops assisted the conduct of the pooja.
The maiden copy of the CD which contains a collection of Hindu prayers and Sanskrit stanzas, produced to raise funds for development of the Kovil was presented to the SF Commander on the same occasion.
