Anniversary Marked with Offer of Alms & Lunch to Orphans

22 Infantry Division in Trincomalee, established on 23 July 1997 marked its 23rd anniversary on Thursday (23) with several programmes, launched on the guidelines given by the General Officer Commanding, 22 Division Major General Channa Weerasooriya.

To coincide with the anniversary, a sumptuous dinner was offered to the children at Trincomalee Rewatha Orphanage on Wednesday (22) and “Heel Dana” (breakfast) was offered to members of the Maha Sangha at Jayasumanaramaya Trincomalee on Thursday (23).
