Both inaugural address of the NCOs’ Leadership Career Promotion and Development Course - 41 and the closing address of the Method of Instructions Course - 53 at the Combat Training School (CTS) in Ampara took place on Monday (29) during simple ceremonies adhering to health guidelines.
The aforesaid Courses were basically designed with the intention of uplifting the professional skills of Other Ranks in the Army and grooming them to meet with future challenges and endeavors.
The introductory remarks to the new Course as well as the concluding address of the Method of Instructions Course were made by Major General Kalpa Sanjeewa, Commandant, Combat Training School in Ampara.
Those Courses that go in line with the ‘Way Forward Strategy – 2020/25’ of the Commander of the Army commenced in order to prepare the attendees for future undertakings of high standards through which they could pursue and apply what they learnt in the courses, conducted under the supervision of the Directorate of Training and the Army Training and Command (ARTRAC).
Lance Corporal J.A.C.S Jayaweera of the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was adjudged the best student in the Method of Instructions Course in the closing ceremony. He was awarded insignias and a certificate. All participants in addition received certificates for participation in the Course.
