Ambassador of Japan Pays Courtesy Call on Army Commander

HE the Ambassador of Japan in Sri Lanka, Mizukoshi Hideaki, together with Captain Yuuki Yokohari, Defense/Security Advisor at the Embassy in Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army on Wednesday (9) at the Commander’s office at Army Headquarters.

The cordial interactive meeting exchanged views on general matters of concern and the Army’s development - oriented roles. Both of them recalled long-lasting bonds of goodwill, cooperation and bilateral relationship that exist between both countries and possibilities for enhancement of training openings for Sri Lankan armed forces and participation in joint exercises during the cordial meeting.

Towards the culmination of the friendly meet, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage and HE the Ambassador of Japan exchanged mementos of goodwill and co-operation.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General and Colonel R.A.D.S Rajapaksha RSP psc, Military Assistant, were also associated with the day’s meeting.
