Brigadier Dinesh Udugama assumed duties as the 21st Commander of the Airmobile Brigade HQ at Embilipitiya, amid religious blessings at the Headquarters on Thursday (29).
The newly-appointed Commander of the Airmobile Brigade was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the 12th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Afterwards, he symbolized the assumption of duties placing his signature for an official document, amidst chanting of 'Seth Pirith' by members of the Maha Sangha in the presence of several senior officers. Later on, he was invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory.
Brigadier Dinesh Udugama, prior to this new appointment served as the Commander of the 532 Brigade.
