Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, the Adjutant General of the Army, visited the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) in Diyathalawa on 26 April 2024.
Upon his arrival at the SLMA, the visiting Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the SLMA, along with the Deputy Commandant. Subsequently, a Guard Turnout was presented by the troops. Following this, a discussion took place at the Conference Hall with the participation of the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, all Wing Heads, and staff officers of the SLMA Headquarters regarding administrative, academic, training matters, and welfare facilities.
The Adjutant General then addressed the Officers, Other Ranks, and Civil staff. During his address, contemporary issues concerning Army personnel and the importance of their responsible behavior were highlighted through sharing his own experiences. Concluding the visit, he penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book and posed for a group photograph.
