Differently able War Heroes residing at 'Abimansala - 3' wellness resort at Pangolla joined a special ‘Bodhi Pooja’ and a ‘Sil’ programme on account of the Vesak festival on Poya day (May 5).
Brigadier P.K.G.C Pasquel, Commandant at ‘Abimansala 3’ wellness resort suggested the conduct of the programme in order to bring spiritual relief to the permanently injured War Heroes.
Ven. Kotugoda Buddarakkitha Thero conducted the programme and invoked merits on fallen War Heroes and blessings on injured War Heroes, serving Army personnel and their family members.
Moreover, residents together with wellness resort staff decorated the premises with colourful Vesak lanterns and traditional features to mark the occasion.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and residents participated in those events.
