Brigadier A.S.P Jayampathi USP assumed duties as the new Commandant of the 'Abimansala 1' Wellness Resort at Anuradhapura on Wednesday (23 August) amidst religious blessings and military formalities.
The incoming Commandant was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers after a colourful Guard Turnout saluted him. At his new office, he placed his signature for an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of the new office amidst religious blessings. Afterwards, the new Commandant planted a sapling in the compound and took time off to inquire about the well-being of the war heroes under rehabilitation at this healing centre.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the day’s inaugural event.
