SOLDIERS in the Corps of Engineer Services have undertaken the ground preparation and foundation-laying work at ‘Abimansala’ (Wellness Resort) at Anuradhapura after the foundation-laying stone was laid by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya as recent as 15th May 2010.
The construction under the ‘Brave Hearts’ project, launched by the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) presided by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya is to house totally dependent War Heroes for rest and relaxation. The project with separate villas and cottages, medical and health equipment, gymnasiums is to be expanded to other districts as well in the future.
