Abandoned Pilot Vehicles Put to Use Again

Abandoned pilot vehicles of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) were re-repaired as per the instructions and guidance of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni (SF-W) with the fullest engagement of technical assistants of 5 Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) at the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) premises on Wednesday (24).

The pilot vehicles consisted of 2 Motorbikes and one jeep which run as the front vehicle of any special parade of VIPs.

Repairs to those unserviceable pilot vehicles were done within a period of 3 months.

Under the guidance of the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) and the Commanding officer, 5 SLEME undertook the challenging task and made all the necessary arrangements to repair those vehicles to put back on the road.

The completion of the successful project was due to the tireless commitment and the sheer dedication for the valued service of the Commanding officer, 5 SLEME. Troops were highly appreciated by the Commander, SF-W, Major General Boniface Perera.
