9 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 681 Infantry Brigade of the 68 Infantry Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu offered their technical expertise and assistance to repair and restore electric power supply at the Sugandhipuram Maha Vidyalaya, Mullaittivu.
The Principal at this remote school reached the 681 Infantry Brigade and sought the assistance of Army troops for restoration of the power supply which has been interrupted. Troops conducted required repairs for restoration of power within four days (5 - 9 November 2023) following the guidelines given by the Commanding Officer, 9 SLNG and the 681 Infantry Brigade Commander.
The initiative towards strengthening of bonds of civil- military co-operation came in for praise of the Principal, teachers and the parents of the school.
