9 GW Troops Assist Displaced People in Walapenna

Troops of the 9 Gemunu Watch (GW) conducted a disaster relief operation in the Walapenna area under the instructions of Commander, 1 Coprs, Major General S.B. Amunugama RWP RSP ndu and guidance of General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division, Major General C.A. Rajapaksha RSP and supervision of Commander of 582 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier M.L.D.S Molligoda USP psc. The troops assisted displaced people at the Sri Sudharshanaramaya temple in Madawala, Welipenna West.

Using a boat, the 9 GW facilitated the distribution of essential supplies, including dry rations and fresh food, to those affected by the disaster.
