As of this morning (21), a total of 594 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, two are Sri Lankan expatriates and the rest 592 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 253 from Colombo, 124 from Gampaha district, 62 from Kalutara District and other 153 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By 6.00 this morning (21), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 33,586. Meanwhile, 24,859 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (30,527) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.
Up to yesterday (20), a total of 37,260 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 28,266 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,818 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.
By this morning (21), 715 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the last 24 hours. In the past 24 hours. 05 more deaths have been reported from Colombo 8, Colombo 12, Colombo 2, Panagoda and Bandaragama areas. Accordingly, the death toll from the country rose up to 176 as of this morning (21).
By this morning (21), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 25 passengers and the flight UL 1264 from Saudi Arabia with 52 passengers have arrived. The flight UL 184 from Pakistan with 23 passengers is expected to arrive here within the day. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
As of this morning (21), 6,659 persons in 72 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (20), 17,233 PCR tests were conducted. buy shoes | Sneakers
