843 Recovered Patients Leave for Homes-NOCPCO

As of this morning (22), a total of 519 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. One Sri Lankan expatriate and 518 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 122 from Colombo district, 85 from Kandy district, 64 from Gampaha district and 247 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (22), a total of 79,998 persons, inclusive of 76,428 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 74,298 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 5,255 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 843 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 10 more deaths have been reported from Kudagalgamuwa, Waskaduwa, Kalutara, Bibila, Pitakotte, Ratmalana, Hatton, Guruthalawa, Kolonnawa and Wellawatta areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 445 by this morning (22).
