Troops of the 6 Gajaba Regiment of the 233 Infantry Brigade of the 23 infantry Division under command to the Security Force HQ- East organized a blood donation campaign on 2 March at the 6 GR camp premises in Navalady with the collaboration of officials at Batticaloa Blood Bank.
80 troops belonging to the 23 Infantry Division, 233 Infantry Brigade and 6 GR voluntarily donated their blood during this project.
With the blessings of the General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division and 233 Brigade Commander, 6 GR Commanding Officer, Major R.M.L Rathnayake organized the event.
