The 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops erected a new house for a needy family in Kuttiwila, Kirindiwela area with sponsorship provided by philanthropists. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 09 October 2024 during a brief ceremony.
Commanding Officer of the 8 SLLI took the initiative to complete this house using technical skills and workforce assistance from troops of 8 SLLI for the construction work. During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (West).
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were among participants in the warming ceremony.
