8 More Police Station Divisions Remain Isolated-NOCPCO

As of this morning (20), a total of 3,623 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 32 Sri Lankan expatriates and 3,591 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 761 from Gampaha District, 493 from Kalutara District, 275 from Galle District and 2,062 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (20), a total of 151,342 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them 54,362 were reported after the New Year. 122,366 of the infected after recovery have left hospitals.

By Thursday (20) morning (during the past 24 hours), 1,222 recovered patients have left care centers. 36 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains at 1,051 by this morning (20).

From Thursday (20) morning, Sinnorai, Palaminmadu, Thuruchedur, Kalladi Weldur, and Nochchimunai GN Division have been kept isolated. Meanwhile, 38 isolated GN Divisions have been released.

By this morning (20), at the time this communique was released, 8 Police Divisions and 202 GN Divisions in all over the country have been kept isolated.
