7,899 Recovered Ones Leave Hospitals - NOCPCO

As of this morning (15), a total of 392 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 3 of them are expatriates and all other 389 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons 205 are from Colombo, 40 from Gampaha and 14 from Kalutara, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (15), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market stands at 13,079. By 6.00 this morning (15), 7,899 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. 3,106 of them were from the Minuwangoda cluster and all other 9,973 were from Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster.

Up to yesterday (14), a total of 16,582 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from all over the country. 11,323 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and all other 5,206 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

To-date, 53 COVID-19 positive deaths have been reported. Within yesterday (14), 293 recovered patients have left hospitals.

By this morning (15), about 30,000 persons of first and second contacts of COVID-19 positive cases are in self-quarantine.

As of this morning (15), the flight QR 668 from Doha, Qatar with 41 persons and the flight UL 226 from UAE with 20 passengers have arrived in Colombo. Within today (15), the flight EK 648 from UAE with 59 passengers and UL 104 from Male with one person is expected to land here. All those passengers were referred/were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (15), 2,950 persons in 31 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (14), 13,671 PCR tests were carried out across the country.Sportswear Design | UOMO, SCARPE
