The 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) celebrated its 32nd Anniversary on 03 November 2024 with a series of events at their headquarters under the guidance of Major A.A.D.U.W. Arangalle RWP RSP, the Commanding Officer of 7 VIR.
In the lead-up to the anniversary day, the troops attended a Bodhi Pooja ceremony. On the anniversary day, 7 VIR troops presented a Guard Turnout in honour of the Commanding Officer. Following this, the Commanding Officer laid a floral wreath at the war heroes' monument and planted a sapling on the camp premises.
Later, he posed for group photographs and addressed the troops. He then attended the All Ranks tea, followed by an All Ranks lunch.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the troops organised a special lunch for 21 children of Lakdaru Pre-School on 05 November 2024.
