7th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 563 Brigade under the 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni gave their assistance to clean and renovate the buildings, prior to the conduct of the annual ‘Katina’ Pooja ceremony at Piarappanmaduwa and Namalgama temples in the Wanni.
The 7 SLSR Commanding Officer, Major M.A.J.M Perera on the instructions of the Commander, 563 Brigade, Brigadier Panduka Perera carried out the project.
Nearly 30 troops of the 7 SLSR took part in the project on Thursday (28).
