Swimmers of the 7 Sri Lanka Signals Corps (SLSC) emerged champions in the Inter Battalions Swimming Competition of the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C), held at the Swimming Pool, Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa on Wednesday (12).
Private P.J.A.L Perera was awarded the best swimmer title while 18 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) clinched the runner-up slot. This three-day swimming meet was organized by 7 SLSC under the direction of the SFHQ-C.
Major General Mano Perera, Commander, SFHQ-C graced the occasion as the chief guest for final day. Major General Prasanna de Silva, Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Brigadier R.W.W.A.D.B Rajaguru, Commandant, SLMA, officers and other ranks at SFHQ-C were present at the final meet.
