7 SLLI Builds its Own Green House in the Camp for Better Harvests

The 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops of the 571 Brigade of the 57 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) in Kilinochchi on the guidelines given to them by the Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Jayanath Jayaweera in order to maximize harvests of crops, flowers or vegetables by following technically modern concepts through reduction of emission of heat energy and prevention of it through convection, put up its Green House in the camp premises using glass and plastic sheets.

The Commanding Officer, 7 SLLI, Lieutenant Colonel T.K.P.M Dias a few weeks ago laid the corner-stone for its construction which was declared open on Saturday (21) by the visiting Major General Jayanath Jayaweera, Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI, together with the SLLI Centre Commandant, Brigadier Anura Dissanayake and a few other Senior Officers.

The primary objective of this construction is to obtain the highest level of benefits from this Green House and use it for the welfare of the unit's Officers/Other Rankers by encouraging them to have such arrangements, either in their home gardens or respective camps or soon after their retirement from the service.

The day's Chief Guest, Colonel of the Regiment, who inspected the greenhouse after its inauguration appreciated the dedication of the Commanding Officer and all the officers and Other Rankers to make it a reality.Sport media | Nike Off-White
