45 girls at Dharmapala Bosath Girls’ Home at Hingurakgoda, Polonnaruwa were the recipients of a delicious lunch plus gift parcels of sanitary items on 27 December 2022 after the troops of 7 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) of the 233 Infantry Brigade of the 23 Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters - East, organized the gesture with sponsorship, extended by a hotel owner.
Mr Ranga Silva, the owner of Hotel Viverra at Giritale provided sponsorship for the event at the request of Brigadier Wasantha Hewage, Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade who also graced the occasion and joined the treat.
At the end of the main programme, a musical session tuned by the Calypso band of the 7 Sri Lanka Artillery Beat entertained those children who also showcased their singing and dancing talents after joining the musicians.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
