7 SLA Troops Construct a New Home for a Soldier in Minneriya

The troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Artillery (7 SLA), constructed a new house at Maharathmale-Minneriya for a Non-Commissioned Officer of the 7 SLA, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade.

Officers and soldiers of the 7 SLA completed the construction after securing the necessary financial and material assistance through family members and friends.

The newly constructed house was officially handed over to the soldier and his family amidst religious blessings on 30 October 2024, by Major General S.A Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander of Security Forces (East), upon the invitation of the Commanding Officer of the 7 SLA.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks, residents in the area participated in the event.
